Good to know

Property Highlights: -Living Room: The sliding glass door offers great views of the surrounding forest. The windows encompass every wall allowing much light in, but can also fog at times due to the age of the chalet and life in a rain forest. The couch and two chairs offer comfort as you take in the surroundings and view or simply stream your favorite movie on the 50 inch Sony Bravia x85 TV. If you would rather turn the electronics off, there are games galore from UNO and phase10 to Yahtzee and Scattergories. The spiral staircase offers an aspect of charm and design to this very unique octagon pedestal structure. -Bedrooms: Two cozy bedrooms, each adorned with a queen bed—your private sanctuaries amidst the trees. -Bathroom: Step into the spa-like retreat—a bathroom with a dual-headed rainfall shower, reminiscent of a lush rainforest. Let the warm water cascade over you, washing away the cares of the day. Aroma therapy diffuser available to allow for a full senses experience. -Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen awaits your culinary adventures. Brand-new appliances gleam, ready to transform fresh ingredients into delightful meals. Brew your morning coffee and savor it on the deck, surrounded by towering trees. -Mid-Century Modern meets Rustic Decor: Imagine sleek lines, organic shapes, and warm wood tones. The interior exudes the timeless elegance of mid-century design, inviting you to unwind and connect with the natural world. You will find the architecture other worldly, while also feeling a sense of the past. -Outdoor Oasis: The wraparound deck beckons. Sip wine as the sun sets, swing below deck while taking in a great book, or soak in the 4 person hot tub after hiking trails in the national park. Experience life in a temperate rain forest.

Other Details to Note

Your Day in the Treehouse: Morning: Wake up in a rainforrest, to the soft light filtering through the full length windows. Brew coffee and step onto the deck. The birds serenade you as you breathe in the crisp mountain air. Afternoon: Explore the nearby trails, their secrets whispered by ancient trees. Feel the earth beneath your feet, and let the forest reveal its wonders. Evening: As twilight descends, soak in the hot tub while sipping on the wine for local winerys as stories unfold, and laughter echoes under the star-studded sky. Bear Wise: Black bears can be seen in all elevations of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the surrounding areas. With approximately 1,500 bears in the park, the population density is roughly two bears per square mile. With our proximity to the National Park, black bears are a part of our life in Laurel Valley. We love our bears and delight in their antics most of the time.

I stayed at Bear Whispers for a girl's getaway in October. The leaves were at peak fall perfection and the weather was sunny and bright. My guests from out of town were delighted with this treehouse find, it is unique in such a great way. The neighborhood is quiet and calm. The home had just what we needed for a weekend of visiting and catching up. We loved the location and felt right at home. The living room was cozy and we snuggled up for a movie our last night there. Bedrooms, linens, and beds were all clean and comfortable. The bathroom was bright and clean. We took a short walk during out stay, the neighborhood is hilly, but walkable. Lisa was super helpful with information about check in, check out, and suggested plenty to do while we were there. Thank you for sharing your space with us. We loved our stay!

It was the perfect relaxing weekend in Lisa’s treehouse cabin. It was so easy to get to but still felt like it was nestled away from the rest of the world. Very peaceful setting. I loved sitting out on the porch, listening to the birds and the rain, reading and drinking coffee. The hot tub was great! The shower was amazing! And the host was very communicative. I had everything I needed for my stay and no issues at all. I would definitely stay again.
